This is my Ghosting Project. Before using gesso, I wrote out a story about my 16th surprise birthday party then painted over the words with pictures that could symbolize the story. I would have done a lot of things differently if I did this sort of project again.

This is my Visual Pun piece of "Knight Owl". I had many ideas for this projest this was my final piece. Painted in acrylic this 2009 semester.
This is my Figure Ground piece that I did in the beginning of the semester. I started off painting the lowercase cursive letter "e". Then created a new piece by taking the positive and negative space and switching them around and painted an abstract version of the former.

This is my rendering of my dad and I that I drew in 2008.

This a drawing of an open window that I drew over the summer.

Portfolio Pieces

This is my expressive portrait that was done in 2008. It is painted with acrylic paint.

This is my "Social Issue" project. I love polar bears and I hate how they are suffering because of the environment. My idea was that the polar bears are suffering because of pollution--in this case hair spray--going into the air.

This is my high contrast portrait of my boyfriend and I at the beach. Painted with acrylic paint in 2008. Painting the sand was one of the most difficult parts of this project. Overall, I think it turned out good.

This is my profile portrait, however, I added a creative background of ocean fish that makes me look like I'm under water. I would like to eventually paint more shadow separating the face and neck. Painted in acrylic paints in 2008.
This is my charcoal drawing of knees from 2008. I worked straight from a skeleton that stood in our class room.

This is a cut paper project that I did in 2007.

Futuristic City

This is my Futuristic City painting. The scanner kind of cut part of it off unfortunately though. I think it gives off a serene and calm impression. Ms. Kury, I'm going to bring it to school, but please let me know if I should make any changes because you haven't seen it yet. Thanks!
